Americans strive to live longer, feel more invigorated, be healthier
and that desire transcends into every American’s work ethic. Your
job as an employer is to tap into that desire, creating a happier
workforce and in turn, lower health costs.
Our goal is to start every working man and woman on a balanced path
to fitness and wellness. Let us help you focus your corporate
efforts on making your work environment supportive to healthy
behavior by providing employees with every opportunity to be fit,
healthy and happy.
We do this by providing our client companies with membership options
to the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC). Our
memberships, coupled with engaging programs serve two purposes: to
create a culture of healthier lifestyles and to lower the health
risk factors of employees, eventually making a positive impact on
health care costs.

Many companies are interested in devoting time and money to employee
wellness, but the dilemma many face is where and how to invest
resources. The SRWC can take your wellness vision and make it a
reality with our Corporate Membership Structure.

program offerings made available to all of your employees.

your employees should you choose the corporate contribution method,
paying some or all of the memberships fees on behalf of the
employee. Contact the Senior Assistant Director of Member and Guest
Services for more information about this option.
Please note: Employees with existing SRWC memberships will be
eligible for Affiliate rates upon the expiration of his/her current
contract. Adjustments will not be made mid-contract.

Affiliate Memberships
Affiliates can enjoy all of the amenities of the SRWC during normal
operating hours. Visit our
Affiliate Membership section for pricing details.

Towel Service
With towel service, your employee may receive up to two towels per
visit. Towels are checked out using your membership ID at the
equipment issue desk on the lower level of the SRWC.

Fitness Assessment
The
fitness assessment program provides a comprehensive evaluation
of your employee’s overall fitness level that will enable them to
better understand where they are and where they can be. A
well-trained staff member will test your employee’s fitness level in
the following areas: body composition, muscular strength and
endurance, aerobic capacity and flexibility. Once they have
completed these tests, they will receive a printout of the results
which will help them better gauge their fitness level. The fitness
assessment will take approximately one hour to complete.

Employee Usage and Participation Analysis Report
This report will provide you with a general analysis of the
employees who have SRWC memberships and their progress. Information
will include: attendance and frequency rates, program participation
statistics and health status evaluations.

Digital Advertising
Over 2,500 patrons visit the SRWC every day. Those patrons consist
of the nearly 23,000 students on Kent’s main campus as well as 1,500
faculty/staff and community members. Nearly two-thirds of users
visit the facility several times each week, making it the perfect
venue for reaching a target audience with your message.
Your advertisement will be displayed for 300 minutes per week on
three plasma screen monitors hung at high-traffic locations within
the facility. Upon purchasing a corporate package, the Marketing
Coordinator will contact you to set up the details.

The programs listed below are offered to all employees of your
company, regardless of SRWC membership. All programs have maximum
participant limits. In those instances, Recreational Services will
offer multiple sessions to accommodate all of your participants, but
they will only count as one program offering. There is a maximum of
200 participants per program offering. Additional participants will
be assessed at $2 per person. Program lengths are also noted. Any
requests for additional time will be assessed at $30 per hour.

A corporate wellness program can help enhance and support your
organization’s core values and culture.

There is a well-documented relationship between healthy employees
and worker productivity.

Studies reveal that an employee’s quality of life, mental
performance and time management was 15% better on days when they
exercised.

A high quality wellness program is an employee recruitment and
retention tool. As more and more employers add wellness programs and
on-site fitness centers to their benefit package, it is important to
stay current and competitive.

People spend more time at work today than any other place -
employers can use this captive audience to help make healthy
behavior changes.

- Reductions in health care
costs
- Reductions in worker
disability
- Increases in worker
productivity
- Increases in workforce morale
- Reductions in absenteeism
- Increases in the energy of the
workforce
- Stress management and a
reduction in the associated costs of high stress
- Competitive perks to attract
and retain talent
- Team-building and team
cohesion
