Body Composition Testing

Using skin-fold calipers, our fitness assessors will calculate your body composition by using a seven-site equation to determine your lean body mass.

Body Gem
Do you know your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR)? RMR is the unique number of calories an individual burns each day without exercise or activity; it accounts for 75% of your total calorie needs. The BodyGem measures your metabolic finger print with a simple breath test. Your metabolic fingerprint enables you to establish a calorie budget that will work for you!

Fitness Assessments
The fitness assessment program provides a comprehensive evaluation of your overall fitness level that will enable you to better understand where you are and where you can be. A well-trained and educated fitness staff member will test your fitness level in the following areas: body composition, muscular strength and endurance, aerobic capacity and flexibility. Once you have completed these tests, you will receive a printout of your results which will help you better gauge your fitness level. Also, a reassessment can be done every three to four months to monitor your improvements. The fitness assessment will take approximately one hour to complete.

Teen Fitness Assessments
A special assessment using the MicroFit Youth protocol is now available for teenagers between the ages of 13-17. The fitness assessment will provide a comprehensive evaluation of your overall fitness level that will enable you to better understand where you are and where you can be. A well-trained and educated fitness staff member will test your fitness level in the following areas: body composition, muscular strength and endurance, aerobic capacity and flexibility. These results will help you plan fitness goals.

Exercise Prescriptions
After receiving an assessment, you may also choose to purchase an exercise prescription. This custom-designed fitness plan, based on your fitness assessment and your personal fitness goals, will include recommendations for cardiovascular, resistance and flexibility training. You will learn proper techniques and exercises that will help you achieve your fitness goals.

Wellness Table Tuesdays

Stop by our monthly Wellness tables on the second Tuesday of every month to be entered into a random drawing and receive free wellness information on topics such as the benefits of fruits and vegetables, depression awareness, smoking cessation and de-stressing.
Time: 6 - 8 p.m.


Wellness Wednesday Workshops
Join us every first Wednesday of the month for an interactive and informative workshop on various wellness topics such as cholesterol education, AIDS awareness, preventing and dealing with diabetes and stress management. All who attend will have their name entered into a random drawing.
Time: 6 -7 p.m.


Wellness Assessment
The Wellness Assessment Program is a comprehensive evaluation of your lifestyle that will enable you to better understand where you are and where you can be.

Blood Pressure and Target Heart Rate Screening
Stop in the fitness suite to have a wellness educator check your blood pressure and determine your target heart rate.

Daily Caloric Intake
Do you now how many calories you should have per day? Our wellness educators can determine your daily caloric intake in addition to providing you with more healthy lifestyle choices.
