Ab Orientation (169100-A9)

Patrons will learn different exercises to utilize their abdominal muscles and be given tips to get the most out of their workouts. Come dressed to exercise and ready to have fun!

Circuit Training Orientation
Learn proper equipment set-up, form and circuit procedures for the circuit training area. Led by our experienced fitness assessors, the circuit training orientation offers hands-on participation and record keeping sheets.

Flex Band Orientation (169100)
Stay flexible with your workout routine and try our Flex Band Orientation. Led by our experienced fitness assessors learn a new workout that utilizes our Flex Bands. Proper form and technique will be taught! Get ready to stretch your way to a fun new workout.

Floor Props Orientation (169100-A8)
Given by a fitness assessor, patrons will be orientated to our various floor props available for their use: Safety precautions, proper use and exercises for each prop will be explained. Props demonstrated will include the Reebok Core Board, BOSU Ball, ab rollers, body bars, stability balls, medicine balls, calf rollers and tubing.

Free Weight Orientation
Intimidated by the weight room? Do you want to improve your form and learn safety techniques? Check out our Free Weight Orientation. This program is meant for individuals over the age of 18. Led by our experienced fitness assessors, participants will learn proper lifting technique, overall usage of free weights and weight-room etiquette.

New User Orientation
Learn proper form and how to use cardiovascular and strength machines on the fitness floor. Led by our experienced fitness assessors, the new user orientation offers hands-on participation and fitness resources to those wishing to learn how to safely use the equipment.

SPORT Orientation
SPORT (Special Populations on Resistance Training) is an orientation for individuals with physical disabilities that offers information on modifications for standard fitness equipment and strives to increase knowledge and confidence in the weight room.

Stability Ball Orientation (169100-A4)
Have a ball while working out! Led by our experienced fitness assessors, participants will learn safe techniques, proper form and creative exercises on the stability ball. Whether you are a fitness novice or an experienced exerciser, this orientation is for you!

Stretching Orientation (169100-A5)
Looking to improve your level of flexibility? Trying to overcome your fitness plateaus? Led by our experienced fitness assessors, participants will learn safe techniques, proper form and creative ways to improve flexibility.

Teen User Orientation
Earn the privilege of using the fitness floor (Cybex and cardiovascular machines) before the age of 18. During this FREE, one-hour session, a fitness assessor will instruct, demonstrate and answer questions about selectorized Cybex machines, cardiovascular equipment and exercise related information. Please note: The SRWC requires all members between the ages of 13-17 to attend this one hour program before utilizing the fitness floor.

Wellness Education
Ask our friendly and knowledgeable wellness educators to answer any health or wellness related questions. Our staff is certified through the National Institute on Preventive Medicine for Stress Management, Smoking Cessation, and Weight Managements.

Wellness Assessment
The Wellness Assessment program is a comprehensive evaluation of your lifestyle that will enable you to better understand where you are and where you can be. A well-trained and educated wellness staff will test your lifestyle in the following areas: Exercise, Nutrition, Safety, Tobacco and Stress. The Wellness Assessment will take approximately an hour to complete.

Blood Pressure and Target Heart Rate
Stop in the Wellness Suite to have a wellness educator check your blood pressure and determine your target heart rate zone.

Daily Caloric Intake
Do you know how many calories you should have per day? Our wellness educator can determine your daily caloric intake. In addition, learn more about healthy lifestyle choices.

Our Group X Schedule includes all land-based classes, Spinning
