
One Well U Walking Program (302000)
This is a 12 week walking program for those
who are looking for a way to advance their
health, wellness and activity level for an
overall improved lifestyle. Participants may
walk a maximum of 60 minutes every Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday, between the hours of
11:30 am and 2:30 pm at the Student
Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC). In
addition, participants are given the option
to record total steps walked per week by
wearing a pedometer daily and e-mailing
their weekly totals to onewelluwalk@kent.edu.
A minimum of 6 random drawings will be held
during the 12-week walking program. Upon
completion of the 12-week program, a minimum
of 4 final prizes will be given out for best
attendance, most pounds lost, most steps
walked during the MWF time frame, and most
steps walked overall during the 12 week
program.
Fee: Stud $15, Mem $20, Non $25

Triathlon Training

The Department of Recreational Services will
be offering an instructional triathlon
training program for those of ALL levels.
The program will be instructed by one of our
areas top competitors and fitness expert,
Julie Healy. This 14-week program will begin
June 2 and go through Sept. 5. At the
conclusion of the program, participants can
choose to enter in one of two sprint race
(shorter version of an Iron Man) in the
Akron Triathlon on Sept. 6 and 7 (the event
is an additional charge). Group workouts
with Julie will be held Tuesday evening, as
well as Thursday and Saturday mornings. An
individual workout plan will also be devised
for non-meeting days.
Fee: Stud $100, Mem $150, Non $200
Dates: June 2 – Sept. 5
Times: Tuesdays, 5:45 – 6:15 p.m.;
Thursdays, 6 – 7 a.m.; Saturdays, 8 - 9 a.m.
