The Department of Recreational Services is pleased to offer facility rentals to university, community and SRWC members. SRWC members and members of the university community receive discounted rates on most rentals (see rate chart for details).

Facility rentals are available for a minimum of two hours and require a non-refundable deposit. Rental rates are subject to change. Each request will be handled on an individual basis. Discounts may be considered for long-term rentals (more than three days/dates). Rentals prior to facility opening or after closing will be charged an additional per hour staffing fee that is not included in the rental rate. Additional staffing costs may be incurred due to size of group and/or need for facility clean-up and maintenance.

Group Admission Rates
With Facility Reservations
Group admission may be granted Monday - Thursday before 4 p.m. during the academic year and all day Saturday and Sunday. An entry fee of $4 per person is charged, in addition to any applicable facility rental fee, to gain access beyond the Welcome Desk for all non-members in the group.

Without Facility Reservations
Groups may bring in guests at a special rate of $5/person with a minimum of 10 individuals. A five-day minimum advance notice is required. This is for general usage only and does not include any exclusive space rental.


Non-Profit Groups
As a service to our local youth non-profit organizations, group admission rates of $3 per person will be offered. The group must have a minimum of 10 individuals. All members of the group, children, youth and adult chaperones, must pay the admission fee. All applicable service and supervisory policies apply.



All facility rental requests are considered on an individual basis. Exclusive use of an area can be scheduled during low membership usage or after hours. A facility confirmation is required by all groups in order to use the facility.

  • Facility rental requests may be granted anytime Monday - Thursday prior to 4 p.m. during the academic year, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
  • Initial requests for reservations can be made by phone (330-672-4732) or in person at least one week in advance.
  • All rentals are for a minimum of two hours.
  • When the request is scheduled, a confirmation sheet will be mailed listing the dates, times, and areas that were reserved. If there are any questions or corrections, please contact the SRWC.
  • Once the confirmation has been received, the SRWC policy sheet should be signed and returned to the Department of Recreational Services prior to gaining access to the facility.
  • Payment is expected at the time of the event unless prior arrangements have been made. Most reservations require a non-refundable deposit.
  • Individual(s) responsible for the event must present a photo ID when registering the group.

Climbing Wall Rental

If you are looking for a little more excitement for your group, the climbing wall may be exactly what you need. The wall can be rented for parties separately or in combination with another rental.
  • Includes staff for belaying and all necessary equipment. Climbing shoes are not included and are not needed for first time climbers.
  • The wall is great for birthday parties, scout troops, churches and clubs.
  • When adding the climbing wall to another reservation, the fee is $2 per try climb. Advance reservation is required. Parental authorization is required for all youth under 18.
     


After-Hours/Lock-in Package
An after-hours lock-in provides exclusive use of the facility to your group for four hours after regular building hours. This package
is popular with youth groups, post-prom parties, church
outings and more.

  • Rental fee of the After-Hours Basic Package: $1,500 for up to 175 participants.
  • Includes four hours use of the sports arena (four courts),
    racquetball courts, multi-purpose gym, mall area, seminar classroom (for movies, music, reception area) and two hours use of the natatorium. Additional hours in the facility are $100 per
    hour and additional hours in the natatorium are available for $100 per hour. There will be an additional $3 per person charge for every participant over the initial 175 participants in the
    Basic Package cost.
  • Requests for reservations of the After-Hours Basic Package
    require a four week notice and a 25% non-refundable deposit.
  • The climbing wall (not included in Basic Package) is available at an additional cost of $100 per hour with a two hour minimum.
  • One chaperone is required for every 10 participants under 18 years of age.
  • Food service needs should be discussed with Summit St. Café (330-672-2233) and the Department of Recreational Services.


Pool Party
The Wet Classroom is the perfect place to host a birthday party. The glass-enclosed room, with a capacity of 23 individuals, is located in the Natatorium enabling easy access to the pools.

  • For members, the $90 rate includes two hours exclusive use of the Wet Classroom, 14 admittance passes and unlimited time in the natatorium (exceptions may apply).
  • If the party guests are children eight years old and younger, there must be one adult in the water for every three children in the water.
  • Passes beyond the included 14 admittance passes can be
    purchased for $4 per person.
  • Non-members have the same opportunity to use the Wet
    Classroom at a cost of $110.
  • A $25 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the reservation.


Conference and Meeting Space
Excellent meeting facilities are available for company retreats, conferences or meetings.

  • Meeting rooms can accommodate groups from
    5 to 80 individuals.
  • Facilities have state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment.
  • Food service, teamwork and leadership initiatives, facility tours, and facility usage passes can be packaged into a complete corporate retreat.
